The new Master of Magic Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes

Unread postby Sir Alock » 26 Dec 2013, 02:37

I picked this game up @ Steam for $19.99 (Holiday sale ends January 2nd) It's as complex as MoM, but better! The UI is pretty good overall & the tactical battles are so improved vs. the other titles. I'm playing a game on easy AI @ the moment to understand the layout. If any of you enjoyed Master of Magic, then you'll really dig this game. It's really a gem 4X game in a fantasy setting. I spend $20.00 @ my local pub in an hour. It's so worth every nickel IMHO. Some people don't like Steam, but I never have an issue myself.

Wow...This forum is DEAD! I can't believe so many of us have played Master of Magic & their is a serious game that emulates the 1st title & no responses. This is a great game!!!! For $19.99 it's a steal IMHO!

He just noticed that again. Don't be nitpicker TT!

As for FE:LH better link to grab it, is directly from Stardock here.
  • You can add it to your Steam account later. Stardock will receive more money for developing new games. Price is the same.
As I see it, this is Civilization, HoMaM3 and MoM hybrid. Very satisfying - from reaction of other players, unlike Elementals.

I will play, sometimes. When my life will become less busy. :P

I checked Stardock website 1st & at the time it's was $39.99 vs. $19.99 from Steam. Plus, I purchased the 4 tiny add-ons @ $2.49 each vs. $4.99 (Christmas special) As you mentioned it's a 4X strategy game, like MoM. I'm really loving this game. It's pretty slick & the AI is halfway decent as well. The battle system is an upgrade to Elemental: Fallen Enchantress bigtime (I own both) It's worth the $20.00 price when it goes on sale again.

I stay tunned :D

Could be, they were not so fast to reflect the action on the Steam. From any reason but they corrected the price later, although I didn't noticed that they would announce "blitz discount" as on the Steam.

I hope that there will be patch 1.6 soon. When I read what they patched, what is missing and what people recommend to patch - I would find some things from the list which I expect to be done already. Thankfully nothing crucial.

Yes, it's nice that Stardock is having modding support. Like with some other games(Torchlight, UFO, GalCiv..). You switch mods on and then put them to the folder.

Voila! And you have "new" game. - Why not our MM games?

Heroes personally take part in battles, troops roam map without heroes, several heroes in one army - much more like HoMM-4, not 3. ;)

Pol: So cool of you to post all of those links! It's a slick game, no question. I call myself a strategy gamer, but I'm still a hack. I still keep going as I love playing 4X games & Age of Wonders & the HoMM series. This is a game that nobody talks about! Maybe when Age of Wonders III comes out in March, will get some traffic.

I'm playing FE:LH, the game is very good in so many aspects HoMM 6 could have done a nice job and didn't.
Also, it has nice support from Nexus mods.
