Just D/L Dune 2000 for Free

Hi Guys: I was trying to install Dune 2000 from my old CD & it wouldn't install on a 64-bit OS (needs 32-bit) I didn't want to create a virtual OS software on my rig. I found this free D/L from Gruntmods.com & it works perfectly without any tweaks!

Nice to know you can still play some old games on WIN7 64. I know this is really a turned-based group, but I like to play a little RTS every now & again. Thought I would pass this link along.

Well I see a decent amount read my thread, but no replies. I thought I would pass along another link for Dune 2 "Building of a Dynasty" made in 1992. Still have the original game on 4-3.5 floppies, but one the disks is defective now. This was my very 1st RTS game & I D/L it for free here:

They "request" $3.00 for the game (via PayPal) to keep the website up. You can still D/L it for free & Norton says it's safe website. I did it because I have a copy now & can use it on my next Windows 7 build for next year. I thought it's worth a beer that I'll spend @ my local pub.

BTW...Please don't think I'm spamming. I just thought there might be some "Old School" gamers out there that might enjoy it. Also Dune II requires DOSBOX to play. Runs like a champ with no tweaks!

I played the first Dune game back when I was in college. It was not a RTS, but some events happened in real-time if I remember correctly.

OMG! I have this on CDROM DOS! I never really liked it as it's a semi-role playing type of game. So damn funny you provided the YouTube link! Brings back memories. I love the RTS game Dune & I wanted to turn-on a few guys that maybe didn't play it. The series simply ROCKS! It's what started Command & Conquer series, which I sill love! My 1st game was HoMM1 & then my 2nd purchase was CC. Good stuff!
