Both cossacs and EE had a lot of micromanagment.Especially EE.Yet they have way larger caps than WCIII.BenchBreaker wrote:wc3 is a lot more about micromanaging, that's why the small cap

yeah but maybe because both wc3 and sc are made by bliazzard so they thought: em... we want wc3 to be more *micro* than sc so it should have much lower caps. so they more than halved it
I used to be indecisive, now I am not so sure...

I just hope that Blizzard dont screw up SC2 if there are going to be any sequel. They better stick with the SC formula and keep on the safe track even if it will be almost similar in gameplay as AOEIII was in comparison to AOEII. Hoping for some better alternatives in group formations like horizontal, vertical, diagonal line, box, arrow and inverted arrow formations.

Dont't forget advanced rally points (like in C&C Tiberian Sun).Orfinn wrote:I just hope that Blizzard dont screw up SC2 if there are going to be any sequel. Ah, StarCraft II. The devs have said themselves on their forum that they don't know how to improve the game so much considering that StarCraft got perfect balance (according to them) and good unit variety.
I myself really wonder how they'll improve on it.
But for good RTS games you can look forward to Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Kane is back btw!

Yes,SC is perfect. There is a part of me that doesnt want SCII to appear just out of fear of it being screwed up.Also,I was dissapointed when I heard SC:Ghost was developed just for consoles.Campaigner wrote: Ah, StarCraft II. RAII was such a dissapointment that I doubt any new sequel will bring my faith back to the game.Campaigner wrote: But for good RTS games you can look forward to Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Kane is back btw!

Starcraft and Warcraft III. Those two masterpieces have their place deep inside my heart .
Fantastic stories, names, units, unit responses when you clicked on them that I will never forget...
I'm still under their enchanment, I just can tell why...
After all those years, I likely to play them again from time to time.
Only Heroes III is above them...

For me:
Story: Starcraft, no doubt. Kerrigan was and still is and probably will be for a long time my favorite evil bitch and a character I'll ALWAYS remember from all the games I've played (and mind you, I played a LOT of games, and Biara was/is/always will be a clown compared to her). Another "female" character that impressed me to no end is Shodan in System shock, but she is not even human and that's another story.
Gameplay: Warcraft III, for it's the epitome of good RTS game design. Also its extensive and all-emcompassing mod-dability. (Which, I might add, is ten-fold better than what Nival is offering with HoMMV)

I like Starcraft and Warcraft III too, but Starcraft has that certain feel (and it doesn't have upkeep...I loathe upkeep; at least the way it works in WCIII).
Maybe it's just me, but the defensive structures don't help out as much in Warcraft III as they used to in Starcraft. In the end though, I think they are both great games.
