SPOILER:

I was playing for Mister House until he asked me to destroy Brotherhood of Steel chapter, where I quickly changed to Yes Man
This multiple-endings feature of the game depenting on the many options u have during the game is so good, maybe the best from all the games that tried do that. BUT my ending had some silly parts, with no logic according to my options. I explain them at spoiler.

SPOILER:

I followed the Yes Man ending. Al thought I tried always to be the good guy(had Saint reputation) my ending was a little...evil...haha. Some things I couldn't explain: I killed the 4 leaders of Fiend, no other quests for them appeared but at my ending they ravage the wastelands! So, if it is bug, ok, if not is sad that game didn't "guide" me to continue their elimination. Same with Powder Ganders(or whatever they called). Also it is me or Brotherhood of Steel at ending are more evil than usual(if u ally with them)? The total "chaos and anarchy I brought at wasteland" feeling that had was opposite with the fact I took control of a huge army of robots for the opposite reason! Anyway, maybe I screwed it up at side quests options but game should guided you better at which roads u have to follow. And btw, for sure has some of the best cRPG's stories at New Vegas! Is just the ending a little weird

Edit: I did a little research at net to see all possible endings, are so many, and seems you have to spend many hours and do almost every side quest to "unlock" a good and satisfied ending...hmmm, not bad feature at all, makes me want to play it again soon :P

They didn't, still invulnerable kids running around.

Humakt, petty violence is a big and integral part of Fallout. So it too should be done right.

I was impressed with the "sensible" solution you showed me in that earlier game: that you can kill kids, but that you wouldn't want to, since it would make you persecuted - an outcast - and all but ruin your game. That's very realistic; consequence ethics in action.

Nah, wouldn't ruin your game; it's very open-ended. But at least there are consequences, though they could perhaps have been harsher.

They're using soundtracks from the older games, for those who didn't know. As opposed to FO3, which used the 2 tracks from Oblivion.

Contrary to games like GTA, where you could beat innocent bystanders with baseball bats without consequences at all, right? I mean, if you did that in real life, the police would arrive, and you'd be a wanted man. It's only realistic to impose the same rules in games.

Plus new ones. There's also one track from oblivion in New Vegas too.

Only if you are actually somewhere where there are police and people around to see the misdeed. New Vegas does a fairly good job at this: no direct consequence if you aren't seen doing a crime, aside from bad karma. Meaning you are seen as a bad guy, which some NPC's object to (and some approve). Then again, NPC's have no deductive ability. A guard can see me and a target, the guard turns his back, I shoot the target with a silenced gun, the guard turns around and sees me and a corpse, and does not react. Better than omniscient guards though.

Well it could have just been a sniper, or a heart attack, or invisible murder-squirrels... how would the guard know, he's not a doctor...

Anyone playing New vegas with mods? Last round I played, I used amongst others a mod that added various armours, vests, jackets, scarfs and sundry comboy-y stuff. But I can't find the mod again! Have trawled through nexus and my HD's, no luck. It's like it's disappeared... it's the only armour and clothing-mod I've seen that makes NPC's wear the new stuff.

Anyone know of a mod fitting this description?

Anyone managed to run Fallout 3 on Windows 7 (64 bit) ?

There are tons of threads about the issue with numerous workarounds (compatibility, ini file editing, run as admin, etc.) but none seems to work for me. The game crashes to desktop before the splash screen.

I got the same problem with Oblivion (another Bethesda game) a while ago.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Well, because I have Win 7, and I only got Fallout 3 recently on Steam (the GOTY edition for 7 bucks, not bad). I know, I'm late. :D

New Vegas was released after Windows 7, but Fallout 3 never got a patch to support the latest OS. I'm about to give up, I'm not making any progress. I'll be missing on an outstanding game, but what can I do...

I remember there was some DirectX solution to enable playing Fallout 3 under Windows 7 64 bit.

You mean copying a DLL file in the Fallout 3 directory? Yeah, I've tried that.

Thanks for the suggestion though! :)
