it still looks silly with all the characters bloodsplattered like in some Friday the 13th movie.

there is also the Derp Roads later on. ugh.

I finished the game but my chars never were cover by
blood...hmm..maybe is an option I didn't enable, I prefer
it without anyway :P

And yes, Leliani's songs are great, I enjoyed so much the
talking with all the chars that followed me to be honest,
great atmosphere :D

But still this game had something that didn't make it a
great crpg, don't know, the gameplay was not deep
i think, and they could fix many details to improve it.

Demo for #2 is out: http://dragonage.bioware.com/info/demo/

If over 1.000.000 people log into an EA account with their game everyone gets 2 extra items for free... so go get it (this is the only type of item DLC <free items should just be added through patches> i approve of).

Demo is as I expected, disappointing. No tactical camera like in BG? No buy.

No. 1st one you can unbind from your characters and do strategical combat from above.. well no more of that. Now you're forced to look at the back of any character you pick from a zoomed in perspective ;|

Surprised that this wasn't mentioned here before. It's a flash game with "tactical combat", which just screams "classic heroes" (hexes! blocking shooters!). It's even got the award "Mighty magic"...

And I haven't got DA2 yet, but I'm waiting. I just plan on taking on Arrival first...

Or you could not get it at all as a sign to the devs that reusing the same textures for every map and trying to appeal to the ADHD gamer crowd is bad, m'kay.

Don't get DA2, it's shit. They used the model of the same dungeon 50 times. If that doesn't scream early release I don't know what does.

The game has a myriad of other problems but that's one that's entirely objective.

You can also look up the user score on metacritic - 4.3/10

Too late...

I agree that combat is a farce. It's fighting a myriad of mooks jumping on you from left and right, and once in a while you run into a boss. With mooks for support.

The story is excellent though.

I prefer Obsidian in that regard.

Not the game, the company... too bad they suck at polishing games and they're always buggy as hell.

Oh man, the caves are so bad, i mean they're all so obviously the same map over and over and you keep having to go into them... that's so sad.

No, it's worse, at least most of the stuff in ME was man made, and can be easily attributed to standardisation... stalactites and stalagmites on the other hand...

And at least ME1 had some big open areas too.

DA2 is miles ahead when it comes to recycling compared to ME1.. and it's not just dungeons, DA2 has ONE hub/city in the entire game.

Using just one hub/city doesn't really count as recycling maps, it's a whole different problem altogether imo.
