Sounds promising. Yay for PC being the best version.

Same here, yay for PC version being better than the console ports, obviously. That puts a smirk on my face :devious:
And I admit If I gotta choose a console, 360 all the way :D

PC hardware has been superior for years now... what's really surprising is that the PS3 version is better then the 360 one... then again it is Bioware, if even they didn't do it then the PS3's better hardware would be pointless...

IIRC Ethric's lichtower is somewhere in the frozen north. Far far away. Maybe that's why it takes so long.

Played around 10 hours and am enjoying it so far. Not the most technically advanced game, but it nails the Baldur's Gate vibe perfectly, albeit with a little more streamlining and a little less filler.

However, it isn't for everyone, more specifically those who dislike Bioware's style of RPG development.

What's with people nowadays expecting a RPG or a RTS to have FPS like graphics...

Hey, I don't have a problem with the graphics, but you have to admit that Bioware isn't exactly the most technically proficient game developer.

Since BG1 they have used artistic flair to compensate for technical ineptitude, the exception being Mass Effect, which had serious texture pop-in frame rate, and loading issues to compensate for looking nice.

But enough about graphics. Dragon Age is definitely one of my favorite games to come out in the past few years.

Oh, if it's about bugs, sure, but that's 90% of developers nowadays...

And ME was a console game... what did you expect.

I start the game before 3 days, and although I am not big
fun of the series (Baldur's gate, NWN etc.) I must say is
the best cRPG I played the last years. I am at the beginning
at the moment(still lvl 6 my main char) but already won me.
Didn't mentioned any annoying bugs so far also, very rare nowdays ;|
I would prefer had an option start a 4-member party, and all
chars be created by the player, but that would ruin part of the
story and the character presentation i guess...

I used the first patch, and it broke my game. Seems they carelessly released a working, non-buggy game, realized their mistake and rushed out a correcting patch.

Hahaha...it seems so. Btw I saw somewhere the 1.01 patch notes and
didn't mention something really important(was focused at difficulty
and so far at normal game is as challenging as I wanted) so I didn't
use it. Now after the warning I will surely not use it :P

To elaborate, the bug it causes is that you can't start the game at all. Seen others with the same problem, and as you say, the patch does nothing worthwhile anyway.

Apparently there's a work around:
This patch is making it so a lot of people's game stops working; it doesn't start when you press the "Play" button. To fix this, go to this link, scroll down, and download the x86 version of this file:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Install that and the game should begin working again. :)

I'm having lots of fun with the game. There are some great cinematics! Here Leliani sings after a battle at camp. My character is dwarf. He is a templar-champion.

Leliani is a bard for those who may not have the game. She has about 6 tales and a song to share with you if she likes you enough. I think you may have to be her lover for her to sing the song.

Leliani's Song

The original avi was a bit over 2gig. I compressed it to 172 meg to upload to you tube. The quality still looks prety good though.
Frodo: "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
