"Not a Valid Win32 Application"

Hello all

I have HOMM 4 Winds of War and predecessors. My computer can support very recent things and uses Vista Home Premium system.

I downloaded the HOMM 4 Equilibris mod "install_Equilibris_v.3.51.exe" from the file planet link, tried it, but it did not open and showed s box that said "...not a valid Win32 application".

I then downloaded and installed "heroes4_sfx.exe" from file planet, but got the same result: "...not a valid Win32 application"

Is there anything I can do to get Equilibris to run?

Sorry, if this is a often-discussed problem, I tried searching and did not find a discussion.

That's strange... Try opening the SFX with WinRAR.

That sounds like that they are damaged, can you download them again?

...heroes4_sfx.exe file on the fileplanet is ok.

Another measure you may take is to use firefox to download them and then 7-zip to extract. Concretely this one is self extracting archive. Check antivirus if it's not doing changes in the downloaded files.
