The 360 Cyclops

Unread postby Angelspit » 03 Jul 2007, 19:53

You can say a lot of bad things about Dark Messiah: predictable plot, boring characters, repetitive gameplay, unbalanced multiplayer... But the boss fights make a good show, as shown in this screenshot of the upcoming Xbox 360 port.

I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

LOL! I got started with the original and so far I'm satisfied.

It does make a good show and there will be moments where you'll stand blinking and say wow. Many things about the game feel real, the way the opponents move, think or interact with the environment, the way the terrain can be used to your advantage etc. The scenery is just amazing.

But. There is a cheapness about it and it seems too short, I'm already at chapter 7(has 9 I think) and I started yesterday. All over the place there are sharp protruding SPIKES! You must have heard about it so many times but it's just too calculated to make things easier for you.

In any case you'll have some good kicks with the game ;)

looks pretty good, but not sure how it stacks up against boss fights in GoW and GoW 2 though

Hardly any games can stack up to those epic GoW and GoW2 boss battles...But this Cyclops looks pretty great and kind of scary..

Possibly painkiller... one my favourite shooter's. It had awesome boss fights which made good use of the havoc physic engine.

But i havent played GoW so i cannot campare the two.

oh, the boss fights in FFXII are sweet, any fight that takes more than 30 minutes to complete is pretty sweet!

I never played DM but I assume one hit of that Cyclops and you're dead? :D

Jeez hes undead after all. Being picky about something you know the reason for is lame..

But nice screen. Great graphics. Repetive with the spike plates everywhere but Im not hanging myself into such small things. With extended content Im sure the Xbox 360 version will last even longer than the previous PC version.

Looks thrilling and the graphics are bright, happy. Odd combination, but I like it nonetheless.

I just had this battle and it felt good :) Somehow I was lucky with my previous bosses and the battles had been won pretty easily. Wondering how different they'll be for TotE.
