The Fire and the Skeleton

The Image of the Month of the Might and Magic Tribute features a fallen adventurer next to what appears a camp fire. Or is it some kind of evil spirit? Thanks Gizzzmo.

reminds me of morrowind. that was the one game where the amount of ex-adventurers in desolate caverns was absurdly high.

Yeah, and I would always thought something like "What this guy wanted in this cavern with only iron dagger and bottle of liquor with him".

Yes, it's a fire (you can see the wood burning).

Brings back the memories of finding Indy in a Morrowind cavern. :)

Slain by age or monsters? So either that fire has been burning for years as he/she is now just a skeleton or there is a monster out there clever enough to start a fire without matches.

Or, it could be the skeleton as the monster and he's just having a nap after eating his/her roasted marshmellows.

@Cleanpea, Really I never thought of that because in morrowind there was more poor-armed adventurers than beggars. Or every beggar's hobby was adventuring :D

Referencing the discussion going on in the news forum (restructuring at Nival); this update to MMVI could help rekindle the RPG flame and remind a lot of people what a good CRPG is all about, and hopefully show doubters that there is still a market for this type of game. Let’s hope the MMT team can continue to donate their time and complete this project.
