Nagas Deleted Scenes

Unread postby Angelspit » 16 Mar 2007, 19:00

To all the Naga lovers out there, here is some concept art from 2004 showing what could have been a member of the Academy line-up. Thanks Vlaad.

I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Wow, there's a normal looking gargoyle on that site! 8|
And I love the Iron Golem with a furnace in the middle!

edit: And a sketch of a Genie with a head too!

Nagas Deleted Scenes

Very nice art, but the lower arms are a bit too high - look at the shoulders.

I always liked the Nagas, but Rakshasas are great too. ;)

And what do you think about this gorgoyle art? I think it's great - somewhat between the funny-caricatural one from HoMM5 and too demon-like from previous HoMM games. That's the best gorgoyle look I've efer seen.

I noticed that too. That's sad.

hmm... i actually liked the 0.9 version of the gargoyle best... not ugly like the final product but not evil-looking like the original concept. imo what a gargoyle should look like. and too bad about the headed genie...

I bet they put the kittens in just to make it different from the other games in the series, too bad a little work refining the picture and this would have been much better than those fur balls. :disagree:

Better yet, throw out one of the others and keep the kitties and the snakes :). Don't ask me what to throw out, but there gotta be something that can go. Yeah I know 2 no-retal would be redundant, but cest la vie :).

The Golem looks like it came out of Prince of Persia.

I like it. A lot. Samurai armor is always cool >_>

Why thow out anything, beside if you also count the vampires there are already 2 no-retals. I do not necessarily want the kitties relegated to the litter box, but the nagas have been around a long time and that drawing looks a lot like the H-III version of the naga, and after all H-V is an H-III update. ;)

yea well, i guess they wanted to be alittle original. i mean, they could pt in a great classic that everyone loves and play it safe, or they could introduce a new guy sand try something different. i mean, i dont really see any reason why they should have thrown out the cats, even tho it would mean bringing back the nagas.

I love the rakshasas but why did they have to discard nagas completely? Innovation is good but they could still be in as neutrals...Anything not being used that worked before is negative in my book.
