Or if you want to save your sanity, don't. It's really, really bad. This is the first thing that I have thought of about this game that's bad. Nival should have taken a page from 3DO

im very happy they did this.

my hero no longer needs to wear his sack of endless gold over his head, or around his back like a cloak.

and he can take off those painful horseshoes on his feet i hope. :)

No offense to its creator, but it looks better than the paper doll mod.

read the news story posts, can you clarify why are people saying that nival "messed, screwed" up the paper doll?

It looks a bit short for a hero but otherwise very good. :)

Sure it is, if you call a few boxes on top of eachother with a drawing in the middle a paperdoll then it's perfect.

THIS is a paper doll? Why, you can hardly see what goes where!

Some spirit is trying to choke the hero with his amulet...

I thought that the amulet slot was actually for the cloak, which had me confused on what went to the right of the boots.

They have used so much materials from the old games, why not use the interface from the old games as well? I never found them slow or hard to learn

"if you call a few boxes on top of eachother with a drawing in the middle a paperdoll then it's perfect." well, if thats not a paper doll than i dont know what is... as far as i remember, thats exactly what the paper dolls were in heroes 3&4, but maybe i dont remember so well.

Isn't it obvious? They added a new square for a codpiece.

Jesus Christ...After all this time a bored employee spends 5 minutes of his time and creates something so crappy.I don't even want to think that someone could have spent more time on that...Wow,now we have a background hero model who likes to wear overweight artifacts that are not even placed right.AND THIS IS ACTUALLY AN IMPROVEMENT ON THE OLD ONE FFS!
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

WTF??!! the really sad bit is that they probably released this pic thinking that, "Gee we listened to the fans and they should be real happy about this change!!", but OMG!!!

this is so pathetic it's laughable!!!

"Replay HIV,please, before you say anything like this again."

as far as i remember, both in heroes 3 and in 4 the paper doll was nothing more than a bunch of boxes next to eachother with a picture of a heroe in the background. granted, in 3 and 4 the doll was much bigger and the boxes less cramped but thats because here half the screen is taken up by an actual model of the hero (this might be a point to argue about, but not right now.). also, in the previous games there were many more boxes, but then again there were also many more artifacts (also a point to argue about...). and about the actual picture of the hero- you might think it looks bad, but thats just personal taste. however, i agree that it would be great if they had made different pictures for each class, but maybe we'll get that in a later patch...

btw, what do you mean "im not surprised"? do i always agree with ubival or something? or did you mean something else?
