As we get closer to the release of Hammers of Fate, let's take another look at the original dwarven city of Might and Magic VII.

If you would like to take a look at the original page visit this link:

Looks more like a monastery then a city to me.

And Crusaders of M&M had a dwarf town too as i recall.

Nice reference! AFAIK MM7 had the only dwarf town I'm aware of in all M&M RPG games.

There was a video released a few days ago that shows some Hammers of Fate footage. Here are a couple of links:

The opening part is sort of pointless if you ask me because why do we care about some dialogue between 2 characters, but anyhow it does show some gameplay footage. Anyway, the dwarven town (a.k.a. Fortress??) appears to be built into the sides of a chasm in the ground much like the goblin/orc encampment around Sarumon's tower at Isengard in LotR. The town walls are then built on the surface and encircle the edges.

To Shad0WeN:

If you haven't noticed it, characters now move their lips while they speak. That is worth showing IMO.

The lip moving was the first thing I noticed that actually made me go "Wow." :D

If you wanna see how dialogue scenes should really be done play Half Life 2.

I swear sometimes I thought it was a movie and forgot it was a game.

We are talking about improvinh H5, and not talking about amazing dialogues. IMO, the best dialogues would be those that are completely animated and aren't connected with the game engine.

This little city was one of my least favorite areas in the game. Not just because I don't really like dwarves much. But because you had to continually yell at those within, to get them to move. And, sometimes, that didn't even help.

Yes. The dwarf skins were so fat, one soldier could block the entire tunnel. But I love the way they walk mindlessly around - it brings out the father and protector in me
