Poor Kevin!

Unread postby Angelspit » 30 Oct 2006, 00:35

Kevin has a hard time getting even with his executioner... or keeping combat interesting for 10+ hours, according the the early Dark Messiah reviews.

Unbeknowst to everyone the goblin race is actualy just one single individual named Kevin that can create an unlimited number of copies. He's the inspiration for Jamie Madrox and other multiplying characters. X-Factor V3 rocks.

I just saw the last episode! STRIKE!! These guys are crazy:)

'Unbeknowst to everyone the goblin race is actualy just one single individual named Kevin that can create an unlimited number of copies.' Maybe it is a parody on creating clones? :p Probably easier to design one model for goblins!
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I don't know if it is something specific to France or not, but I may explain why they called the goblin "Kevin".

Here in France, for two or three years now, there seem to be a lot of young players in popular multiplayer games (FPS, for the most) or on message boards, who for some reason are named "Kevin" (they often use nicks such as "Kevin12ans" or "Kevin_du_92"... or, more accuratly, "K3\/!n124n§")

They tend to be annoying, they speak in SMS/chatspeak with a touch of geekness, they don't care about politeness or respect, and naturally they quickly become a shooting target for older players. With time, this kind of young players/posters became generally referred to as "Kevins", regardless of what their actual name is.

I guess that's why the little fellow is named Kevin and why everybody wants to kill him ;)

Ah, that's good to know! I thought it was a variation of (South Park's) Kenny.

For me, the reviews are simply lying. I`m at chapter 8 currently, and still enthusiastic like in the very beginning! And I`m already looking forward to playing it the second time!

You'll understand easily what's happening with that "kevin" name in France if you look at the graph on this page :

http://www.linternaute.com/femmes/preno ... evin.shtml

(the page itself is in french). In 1991, Kevin was the nb 1 name given in France, and to say the least not in the most intellectual part of the population.

So now, all those "Kevins" are invading the french web, as described by Marzhin, needless to tell again how annoying it is.
