A Map of Ashan

Unread postby soupnazii » 01 Oct 2006, 02:07

i dont think the crater is on Stonehelm. looks more like that un-named town to the east of Talonguard to me. i didnt play through the campaign yet, but does anybody know if that town is mentioned at all? cause it might have something to do with the crater, and even if not maybe with the expansion.

A Map of Ashan

Unread postby Capt_Tripps » 01 Oct 2006, 03:24

The globe to the right appears to be another version of the map (complete with crater). Going by the globe, the continent to the south curves to the west and up. There's an island to the west of Al-Shazzar and a series of large islands or continents (dending on how you count them) beyond that.

There also appears to be 4 constelations in the background (griffin, serpent, wolf, ?). The two path around the Doomstar with Silveria and Ashan could be mapping some kind of planetary impact.

There's more, but I don't know the moon symbol, points, and constelations all work.

Lots of room for speculation,

what makes you think there's more
The more vacant land as yet unexposed, the more chance does Ubi have of releasing more expansions. ;) I'm thinking they'll try for two or three of them before the cow is drained of milk.

Most likely new game then expansions. Grimheim, which i'm assuming it's the dwarfs lad, was on the map from the beggining.

And seeing where Heresh is, the big hole might indeed not be where Stonehelm was.

Also note the Golden Steppes, right next to the orc infested islands...

That's strange to me - orcs should be just about everywhere, scattered around like thieves and lowlives. :creative:

I much prefer Golden Horde like Orcs. And steppes aren't exactly places to build a stationary comunity on. They should be present in most places, but having a part of the wolrd where they're prevalents is a good thing.

This fine map is far better than the one in H5. Still this "Lost Palaedra" thing is a bit strange. Do they want to tie Ashan with Axeoth ? Mmmmmm...

Seems like Sareth decided to be the Dark Messiah and set the demons free... Looks great though :)

By blowing himself and the demons up, so only a few managed to stay on Ashan.

Different maps. One from the H5 Collectors Ed, one from unknowns parts. We think that this one is after Dark Messiah.
