Forts are a new thing with H6, and so far I like them. The taking, converting, and defending them adds a whole new dynamic to the game.

In comparison, I still prefer Garrisons, which would REALLY protect something. I'm too displeased with this easy-convert-every-mine/dwelling-zone stuff to have Fort in my good book.

Yeah, it would be nice if they had garrisons or if forts acted like garrisons. It would make the structure a bit more useful, as it stands they're just an objective if you want to claim a zone's mines. They also provide a small gold bonus if they're your faction but not worth converting for the most part.

That map is way too small... at least make some more space on either side of teh bridge for resource generators and fighting...
