The Mermaid
The Mermaid
Artwork of the <i>Heroes VI</i> mermaid, another neutral elite creature once created by the wizards of the Seven Cities.
I find it interesting to note that the creature is described as "half dolphin" when it has no dolphin-like attributes whatsoever ...

The Mermaid
Its possible the half-dolphin attribute was part of an earlier stage of the concept.
This version of the mermaid seems a very refreshing take on the creature.

You just have to bring in this old argument into another thread. Mermaids are female, they also are traditionally not combat units, but use their wiles to distract/mesmerize their opponents (i.e. hypnotize in H-IV). Wearing full battle gear would not help them in seducing any of their opponents, so she may even be considered overdressed.mr.hackcrag wrote:WTF CEHFJLASDLFJHVUEG!!! What's with all the FEMALE units???!!!...!!! Why is the mermaid fighting without combat boots? How is wearing a seashell bra practical in battle? RAARRRRGH!

I'm pleased with this one.
Mainly because it has gotten out of my mind that a mermaid should be a lesse tier. Perhaps because merpeople used to be something like commoners of the sea in my point of view. Alas, not this one.
The part dolphin might be her voice? Just imagine her attacking with her fluid like and beautiful attack before squealing: Kwiiiitititirikiii! And then leaping back into a pond you were sure weren't there just now.

The more important question is how she manages to keep her bra in place. Is it like a suction type thing? I don't see any strings.

That's actually not a bra...icesensemadness wrote:The more important question is how she manages to keep her bra in place. Is it like a suction type thing? I don't see any strings.
Re: The Mermaid
The bra appears to be two limpets, which any Marine Scientist will tell you holds by suction. Who would have thought being an invertebrate would have its advantages in a heroes game.icesensemadness wrote:The more important question is how she manages to keep her bra in place.
