It's big but it seems to be made of wood. So it should be fairly light...seeing how the guy is massive I'm sure he would have no problem wielding the weapon

It's an oar. A shark with legs holding an oar, which it uses to hit people over the head. Laughable, and a sign that the makers of Heroes haven't lost their sense of humour. Question is whether they've gone "overboard" ... (sorry, couldn't resist).
