That looks more like a giant fountain then a town... at least put some walls around it.

Well it doesn't need to have fortified walls... some asian wooden fences would do wonders for recognition.

And as proper for the max upgraded version is has rock walls...

The idea was that the un-upgraded one doesn't look like a village, and some nice picket fences made of wood (Asia has similar wooden walls) would help with that...
