Nope, I'm pretty sure that's Smaug the Magnificent("The Hobbit"'s main antagonist)'s lair.

Has to be Moria, allessander, it's right next to Rivendell in the pic.

Well then I'm guessing the map's not so canonical, and it's very small, since I don't recall reading about any dragon near moria, or it being so close to Rivendell (I'm a huge Lotr fan, bear with me :D )

Well, there IS a dragon in the mountain... or it could be the Balrog... :)

Balrog should be a Pit Lord or at least a Devil.

:D Would be awesome to have some Star Trek references or so in maps like that, knowing how Might and Magic series is primarily Science Fantasy :)
