Sounds excellent! Though now I really start to wonder which towns they would add if HoF is a success as well. For all we know they have plans for 3 expansions worked out O_o

"I know that many people felt some features were missing at the release."
Oh, they noticed that. How nice.

Yeah... his comment about swamp towns is certainly a curious one.

Is it just me, or does Fabrice REALLY like to put smileys at the end of his statements?

well. It might sound a little heretical, but since the number of addons is already decided, then I hope HofF won't be a success in terms of sales. Nival needs a kick to do a better job.

"However, we know quite well what is important to the communities..."

You wouldn't known it based how they've responded to "what's important".

"but if we start working on this series, it will certainly happen :)"

Why can't they just announce they are going to do MM X :(

" I hope we will have covered most demands"

Still missing the text bokses, don't see why they aren't in the game. If they don't want to use them in the campaign they can just don't do it and let the mapmakers do what they want...

Else it doesn't look so bad... Just want to know for sertain about MM X :( oh well, back to playing MM VII :D

I guess it all will depend on sales. I think if they decide to make a M&MX it will be a big project, bigger than HOMM, and will require a big investement. So they'll have to show some good figures first to convince some bosses.

However, right now I would bet that we will see M&MX by Ubi in the next few years.

"However, we know quite well what is important to the communities, and I think we have provided it either through the patches, or with the addon."

I wish a reworked, or at least modded AI, was part of the equation ...

He refers to a discussion with Archangel Castle that happened in the Ubisoft office last week. I'll try to translate the most important points for you later.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Just seems to me that some of the answers aren't straight forward and avoid the question entirely.

He wouldn't be doing marketing if they weren't.

Fabrice: We’ll be tweaking the AI in the patching process. This is part of the game refining after the launch, when we receive many feedbacks and many datas, in a volume that is not possible during our own testing phase. Any AI weakness will be taken care of, and its challenge, which is already quite good I think, will be improved.
- 8 June 2006

4 patches are out, Fabrice. In what partucular patch - AI weakness was taken care of ?
Furthermore, IFAIK, addon will have no AI improvements as well.
Patching will continue, in accordance with the original plan.
:lolu: :lolu: :lolu:

What plan ? One patch per month ? :D :D
