New Column: Might and Milla

Unread postby Angelspit » 19 Jul 2006, 15:46

The newest Celestial Heavens columnist is none other than The Slayer, also known as Milla, the girl who staked more than one heart at the Round Table. For those of you who need a break from strategies and campaigns, Might and Milla focuses instead on the people who play the games. Milla talks about the myth of the girl gamer, and explains why she was attracted to the Heroes series in the first place. Follow the link!

And now, watch in amazement as half the males that disliked H4's graphics sudenly change their minds....

And Blue Eyes, plenty of games have female characters... half-naked silicone overloaded female characters, but female characters none the less....

Ahh, Lara Croft for instance yes. She's alright. I don't mind the gigantic boobs and lack of clothes. She's cool anyway :)

I humbly take all the responsibility for the lame title of the article. :D A guy runs out of ideas sooner or later.

Milla wrote:It’s a general misconception that girls don’t like to play computer games. I for one think it’s some of the best entertainment available and I know other girls who feel the same.
Hehe, here's a little anecdote to that: me and a friend played Diablo coop on playstation (yeah yeah, but it's a long time ago mkay ;) ). Then my friends sister and a friend of hers came in, and the sister started berating us for wasting our time, until her friend cut in with "Actually that one is pretty good", and the sister said "Sssh!" :D

For pretending to not like games (around guys) women sure play a lot of games :)

Anywho, nice article, good to see another point of view  But careful so you don't reveal to much, you might get an unfriendly visit from the girly-mob 8|

By the way, when do you think the followup you mentioned, "5 girlfriends Heroes slumberparty", is finished? :D

One of my favorite female character is April Ryan from The Longest Journey, because she's "just" a normal girl. Oh, and also Samus from Metroid (yes, she's a woman), or Alys from the original Phantasy Star.

By the way, great article Milla !

Good article, yes, more of the ladies are getting into gaming, which I think is a cool thing! My addiction with the HOMM universe started with Heroes 2 and I have never played Heroes 4 personally, however I am quite aware about how it got a lot of criticism sort of being the oddball in the series.

Hey, nice Heroes 5 screenshot btw. May I say the only thing more pretty that the game graphics are those beautiful blue eyes! Hah, ok maybe that sounded a bit like a cheesy line.

You really should stop teasing and torturing all of us guys tho. I mean next thing you know we are going to want a full body shot of you in a bikini lol

the Final Fantasy series and other RPGs have always been pretty good about having strong female characters

Maybe to intice more female gamers Angelspit can also add a whole swimwear section with both guys and girls in swimwear.
