I would have exspected a better comparison between Destructive and Light magic.

But good work. Great for newbies.

Yeah, I thought so myself. First I wanted to write more about that aspect, but felt it was not an exclusively Sylvan issue. Oh, well. :embarrased: It was originally entitled "A Beginner's Guide to Sylvan" anyway. :D

I'm missing a discussion about some of the special abilities- Storm Wind, Mana Burst, Wall of Fog etc. And the Hunter discussion look like it's missing the first half. Other than that, it's very good.

No. Accumulted luck bonus. The most you can have is +5 luck, and -5 is the least.

"Distrustful of technology, Rangers have a minimal chance of mastering War Machines". And I who have been trying to get warmachines from the witchhut at Sylvan 1 about 30 times now! This effectively means that I'll never get Ballista! How useless! >:(

ok you say that ossir is one of 4 heroes who cannot get Nature's Luck, but I'm having trouble finding any sylvan hero who's starting skills line up with Nature's luck, which 4 can get it?

I think Gilraen's special is actually kind of decent.. level 20 +10 atk/def for war dancers is quite a nice damage bonus, particularly if you can land their AoE attack in a nice spot

A fine piece -- thanks for all the good work. One comment, though, about taking on 3 stacks of Zombies with 1 Sprite. I can see how it would succeed, but wouldn't it take an hour? And a request: I'd like to see a list of towns and their specials.

Depends on the stack sizes and hero level. It took me some 10 minutes to kill some 60 zombies with 3 blood witches.

Let's see. Blood Maidens do 6 points of damage, Sprites do 2. So if 3 Blood Maidens make the kill in 10 minutes, it would take 3 Sprites three times as long. One Sprite would take 9 times as long -- an hour and a half. Zzzzz.

How the hell do you have time to make these guides? Are you on a fulltime employee contract or what?
