Regarding Equilibris, I don't know if you went here. This is a good guide throughout installation, and also states about WoW version of sorts. I think the Equilibris mod is pretty much the "patch" you need.

Regarding UBI, I do not really know about their patches. Given the game was from 3DO, this changing of hands may had some issues. Better take a look on their forums.
