Four Stars and a Half for King´s Bounty

Unread postby rdeford » 22 Oct 2008, 13:28

I've been playing the KBL game for a couple of days. It is a great game! Yes, the HOMM spirit that we all love is in there. It has that almost magical charm that endeared New World Computing and later on 3DO to us all way back when it was all fresh and new to us. On a scale of 1 to 5, I too give it 4.5.

So what copy protection is included with the North American version of the game?

If you copy the game, a pair of Russian soldiers coming from Alaska knock at your door.

Well, that is the SecuRom protection. I live in Holland, and the game isn't available over here, so I downloaded it and play it untill i can buy the reall version (yeah, sorry for that). Weird thing is when you download the game, and you use a certain Russian patch, it removes the protection. So basicly, they cracked their own games. I know it is illegal, but I just wanted to play it bad, and reall, you should go and buy it, cause it's a great game!!!
You can either agree with me, or be wrong...

The Russian CH lurking squad is already on its way to darknessfood's house.

Oh no, better hide the vodka. ô.ô

So seriously, has anyone in North America bought King's Bounty yet? Amazon has it for sale for $36.99. Hopefully, it's the English version. ;|

@ HodgePodge -- I bought the English version of KBL at WallMart in WA. USA for $39.99. I looked online to find the store nearest me that had it in stock. It is a great game. I am sure Jon Van Caneghem would approve of it.
