The Artifacts of Heroes V

Unread postby Angelspit » 06 Feb 2006, 15:32

The new page of the Heroes of Might and Magic V section is about < ... cts. Next to each picture, you will find a description of the item, taken straight from the game. Some of the artifacts, such as the Shackles of War and the Wayfarer Boots are familiar, while others are all new. Unlike some other components of the game, the artifacts look very HoMM-like, as if New World Computing had been contracted to design them.

Thanks to Bad Wolf and Robenhagen for the new page.

They look awsome! :D ..I´m mising on the other hand an information of this "grants a free [skill]-associated ability while equipped". I haven´t seen any changes in my heroes abilities while wearing this kind of artifacts. I guess I´ve been blind again (or just dumb, your choice). ;)
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Or, more likely, those artifacts aren't quite finished yet.

One of the worst parts of the game is where some artifacts have to go on your hero. Have they fixed that yet?

What? You would just rather have 3-4 armours and 5-6 helmets on 1 hero?

I think he'd rather equip the Horseshoe and Bag of Gold somewhere else than on the hero's feet and cloak...

The Horseshoe was at least in closed beta equipped at the hero's foot slot, and the bag of gold in his cloak slot. The Fourleaf clover fit in the shield... :disagree:

AT least anatomically if they can wear horseshoes on their feet. I can see how a Demon might manage, but a pansy Elf? No way.

:| Err- explain again how strength of gargantuan proportions would also mean that your feet turns into hooves?

Well you wouldn't need hooves, you just glue them on. ;)

I wonder how the game would look if every artifact equipped on a hero would be visible on him on the battlefield/adventure map. This would give some diversity to each hero...

Yeah, I always wanted to see that, this is what happened in Diablo 2 where your character changed appearence based on what you had equiped. I guess it could be difficult in H5, but I'd still like to see it (and there are fewer artifacts now...).

Signs of dwarves and werewolves, is it just me or is this a hope for fans of both, that they will be in the game or at least in an expansion?
