I'm not in the least impressed so far. I propably won't buy it unless it proves to be very good.

I also like the RPing within the UH. All those skeletons and zombies act like Mortis' little b!tches.

I love the interface and general unit look.. if I would be so bold to compare game interface/style to art movements, then Disciples would be Renaissance.. everything is so detailed it's amazing.

you can notice how they've kept the same music approach (yay, I really liked the music in d2).

I just hope they nail the gameplay and polish down.

Disciples II was a great game and way ahead of Heroes III concerning graphics. I just hope that Disciples III will do the same compared to HV.

As for all the discussions here with the lack of races... Let them release the game and add content afterwards. Otherwise we will still be waiting for DII like for... lets say... Majesty II

. What is better than a new race to make one game more fun to play?

Disciples 2 also came out 3 years later... D1 came out the same time H3 did.

It is also quite apparent that the D3 graphics surpass the H3 ones, both technically and artistically.

Well, with 9 years inbetween the two games, that is at least to be hoped for!

On a side note, I've tried getting into Disciples 2, but the looks of the game did not appeal to me, at all. *shrug*

also, the units look better in motion, even if the Defender of the Faith is kinda lightly armoured imo.

Wasn't that because of publisher problems and the original devs going into "serious games"? And wiki says that another dev bought the rights and are gonna make a new one.

. Anyways, the guys always used interesting engines for their sequel. Can't say the same for Heroes.

One more game to the gender can be only good for gamers. (And it looks to be not any game!)

Yes you can compare them D1 was awesome to this day I can hear the menu theme in my head awesome theme. I will be buying D3 as soon as its out to bad about the hordes though.

Seriously, if you compare graphics make sure that no more then 1 year passed between release date... and even that is already 2 generations.

Dis1 was great, but the graphics was behind H3 (the art was better though)

Master of Orion and Master of Magic were good enough. Railroad Tycoon was good enough as well.

On the other hand HoMM 3 was far from perfect.

I don't like excuses. Beside I like H3:RoE more than D2 with expensions.

And great ("nearly perfect") games "with a 1 on it": Half-Life, Alone in the Dark, Claw.
