Customizing the Main Menu

Unread postby Angelspit » 20 Dec 2007, 21:02

Are the Heroes of Might and Magic V main menus too resource-intensive for your computer? Are you tired of seeing that Cyclops smash things around? The modding wizard sfidanza put together a list of mods for the main menu and the background animation. Choose a static image (although you are probably sick of those as well if you have played the campaigns), a two fly-by animation with a redesigned menu or bring back the animation from the basic game or the Hammers of Fate expansion. Kudos to all the talented modders out there who help make the game more enjoyable!

A quick note about maps and news: I am having problems finding the time to write about the new maps that are posted on a regular basis. Please keep an eye on the top of this page for the newest entries. My apologies to the mapmakers who didn't get their 15 minutes of fame.

That's pretty cool.

Never mind, I need to read better, lol. Still, that's pretty cool.

I've been using the wizard-on-an-elephant one for quite some time now (someone posted some of these in our mod section already), and I can see myself switching to some of the other ones in the future.

I use the sylvan one for now :) Haven and academy work pretty nicely too but academy's track is not for a main menu.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I have to admit that the new battleground menus are awesome.

I don't have HoMM5, but as far as the map submission post is addressed, thanks for the news, AS. I was wondering if the recent map I sent for posting arrived or not. I assume it did now.

Backgrounds should work in H5 and HoF... Main menus however, work only with TotE.

So, you can only enjoy half a package without TotE :)

Re map postings: You do so much for us Angelspit; please do not worry about not doing it all. You have a life, and that is a good thing.

On the map posting part: I agree with rdeford. You have a life AS and one could'nt ask for more what you do to get us up to date and current. My post here was'nt a "whipping post." It was a relief that you got it, and it saves me from having to send it again was all. Thanks again. :-)

That's what makes Christmas fun, AS. The little ones. All that diaper changing and them puking on you, pays off when you see them during Christmas having a good time. It made me happy seeing them happy. I forgave them for doing all those things to me. Well, for a little while anyway. ;)
