Time to taste the Tribes

Unread postby Sir Charles » 27 Sep 2007, 20:22

Yeah, I was just having that conversation over on the official boards. MANY subscribed people haven't gotten them...ever. So, if somebody wants me to NOT post this from Ubi...please let me know and I'll delete it. Until then....

First impression: It looks good! The demo also comes with some small updates, like a Wait button, monster threat level and I think even artifact groups (I don't dare to say combined). Too bad the blood rage points aren't explained from the beggining.

Could you maybe post a screenshot of the wait button? I'm a bit curious how they implemented it, but I'm not gonna spend 9 hours downloading just for that. :p

As much as I despise going to my school library, I love it's ethernet connection. Nothing like downloading at 1.34 MB/sec.

Downloading the demo in less than 20 minutes is just great.

Thx Metathron.

Well, I guess later is better than never. Like we wouldn't have told them hundred times also before the release this feature is like in that Cranky comic: once you find it, "you'll have much more success on the battlefield". ;-)

Pity a fellow forumer had more convincing power over Fabrice than half the community. Otherwise we might have had the "unpleasant" surprise of Wait taking over Defend from the first release of the game.

Aw well, better I don't start remembering those days again...

Some piece of good news indeed! However that's by far not the thing bothering me the most at the game unfortunately... :|

I have only one beef with this faction and it's a small one at that. The trail that follows the hero, it looks exactly like the trail for the Fortress heroes. They couldn't give the Barbarians something different?

:D I think I'll give in even if my next exam is at 1 October. Hopefully I'll be able to control it :)
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Why is there both a voice-over (without sub-titles) and a text description while the map loads?
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.
