"And the Warlord doesn't?"

It's supposed to. It's meant to be a giant. So invalid point.

"How? explain it? For me enough change for me to see its different! Its like a hybrid of the other two plus differences in scales, more of a coal grey color. Yeah no differences at all!"

My it is so easy to annoy some people here. Short fuses on your tempers I guess. There is not substantial change to it, although I'll admit there is more change than with the Titan's alternate.

Then what precisely is it? I would love for some explanation about how a dwarf is in fact... not a dwarf, but a giant! Especially from Nival.

You are the one arguing it's a giant and not a dwarf, so let's hear your explanation.

Dwarves frequently ally themselves with giants. One could of course say very powerful dwarves (which excludes berserkers) become large, via magic or whatever. Then what of their heroes, their priests and their monarchs, which are the upper cadre?

It's not a giant, just a bigger than most dwarf :D

Don't forget that each faction must have 3 large units and if the best dwarven fighter wasn't big he wouldn't look as cool in Nival's eyes

Usually when Nival has a bigger creature in the army it's not of the same race. E.g. Dungeon, Sylvan, Academy, Haven (the Paladin is mounted, but otherwise normal for a human). A dwarf that is a giant is a contradiction in terms, unless dwarf means nothing more than a race - in which case Nival could explain how a typically short race has giants amongst it. Not that consistency is high on its agenda. ;)

The Thanes, Warlords and this new one are past dwarves magical enhanced to be bigger, there are only a few dwarves promoted worthy to turn into such larger versions of themself with great, augmented power.

Very true. Look at this pic and you will see that the Berserker is the same size as a Peasant and the Thane/Warlord isn't much bigger than that. I'd hardly consider them a giant after seeing this.

Yes, that had helped me in the conclusion but in any case it would not ring true if it was a giant. Also seeing as they have magical powers - forget the runehammer, the fact that they teleport speaks volumes :P - may suggest that something unnatural has taken place here. Or that they are bred in a different way at least.

Seeing a sumo wrestler side to side with an average human you could suppose that they are not from the same race :D Their physical strength, constitution and large body make them stand out yet it is related to diet and training.

Good point.

I would. They're bigger than any human in the game. Thanks for the image btw - are there any for the other factions too?

So logically an above-average human or elf should be much taller than the peasant too. Extreme height for a 4ft midget is something like 5ft2 at most.

Yes, that was one possibility I offered. Though Berserkers are not Thanes, and are still too big for dwarves - which was my point. Most of the dwarves should be just a bit taller than the Defender.

I don't think so. I think that pic was just created to show the size difference between the dwarven faction and a human.

It would be cool if it existed for the other factions too. It corresponds quite well with the models in the game.

Thanks for the updates. They look like rather able units, especially the Stone Defender.
