Fortress Alternate Upgrades

Postby Angelspit » Jun 18 2007, 12:42

A little early, I'm glad to show you the Fortress alternate upgrades. Once again, evilp was kind enough to share them with us at the Round Table. We'll need to wait a little longer for the names, the stats and the special abilities.

I will update this post as soon as more information is available.

For me most are better than the originals but in any case I am very satisfied :)
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

Ho-ho-ho! Merry Christmas!

Due to the fact that they all have white beards, they look like a bunch of Santas to me.

Looking at some snow is somehow refreshing with all this hot temperature.

Nicely done! Definitly the best of all alts so far. Rune Priest has lost his staff and now he has a street lantern. He's waiting for a local bus now:)
My favorites are Warlord and Defender upgrades.

Interesting! They did go with Fortress before Haven.
It's either one of two things. Either they are saving the big surprise (no Renegades) for last, or they are so worried about the backlash from the fans who have openly said they don't want the Renegades. If in fact it is them, then they would need to be fixed and Nival probably didn't do so.

As for these guys, I have to agree, they are the best looking so far.

Wow, Nival did a nice job here. I hope they rework the other factions to make them look this good too. Some of the alternates do not differ much from the original, but others (e.g. the tier 1) look great.

I think Haven will be next in line. We won't be seeing Bastion till last, if at all.

wtf with those white beards? Christmas edition? And dragon looks a bit out of place. Other than that they look good.
Alternative gremlin is still the best!

The new dragon looks very similar to the old one - not much change.

Ignoring the dragon, these look really good! I think either the alt.Thane upgrade the alt.Defender upgrades look the best (though the Bonecrusher-Berserker replacement- looks pretty cool).

I wish they'd resize the berserker model though - it's too tall for a dwarf - just as tall as a human. Really defeats the point of being a dwarf...

How? explain it? For me enough change for me to see its different! Its like a hybrid of the other two plus differences in scales, more of a coal grey color. Yeah no differences at all!

If you put it next to the other they don't look that much alike. You are stuck with the magma impression and similar shape. As a model it's quite different.
