Beta FAQ

Unread postby Pitsu » 23 Jan 2006, 13:12

Open Beta assistant Znork has posted a nice Beta FAQ at the official board. You can check if your system requirements are up to needed level and that you have required ports open. The sad news is that first 3 days of the Beta are for Gamespy subscribers only.

Beta FAQ

The minimum system requirements seem a little steep. I have a 2.2 Ghz processor and it was able to run the beta just fine. My 1 Gig of RAM helped I guess.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

Agreed. It's about twice what Half-Life 2 asked for on paper. Better be good.

I have even less, including about half the RAM, and it ran OK. A little draggy from time to time but doable. Plus I imagine the final game will have been optimized, so performance should be even better.

Proably. FC just replied in that thread that the recommended requirements will probably turn out like the current minimum req.

Wait a little more. There will be an announcement when the open beta begins. It shouldn't take long now.

Either you purchase a one-month FilePlanet subscription and start testing now, or you wait until Thursday for the beta to be available to everyone. It's up to you.
