Necropolis Alternate Upgrades

Unread postby Orfinn » 06 Jun 2007, 19:07

@-thing what makes you think the banshee looks male? first it has pink on it, second who can differ a female skeleton being from a male on, no clear indications on them. Dating a skeleton may bring you the wrong gender :p

Btw! Damn I think i see a pattern here, yeah a conspiracey, but....since until now all alternate units are mostly meele units, its that a step by Nival to make these upg seems better than the old upg? Their way to make upg to upg?? Not counting special abilities, but pure stats of the creatures.

@Orfinn: Well, my point was that the Banshee's gender isn't distinguishable from the model, and while it's true that a human skeleton's gender isn't distinguishable, the model is near identical to the Wraith, which is viewed as a male by default, whereas a Banshee is expected to look a like a woman (well at least by me).

Dating skeletons doesn't sound exacly like my thing anyway, not that there are many availible where i live, though we do have Zombies and Vampires.

ugh .... Horror Dragon isn't really where it's at for me, unless it's short for "Oh Horror of Horrors, it's another freaking Dragon"

Lava Dragon -> Sauna Dragon

I'm here joking about it...it would be really disturbing if Nival actually creates a Sauna Dragon. :)

I think they'll get a Rock Dragon or an Igneous Dragon.

Sounds logical...

And this is where having the word Obsidian already in the game botches stuff up...because Obsidian Dragon would've made a nice amount of sense as an alt. upgrade...obsidian being a type of lava formed rock, if my geology serves.

At least they didn't call the Necropolis dragon:

Dead Dragon

Ignean Dragon is a possibility, though Obsidian is good too.

Death Dragon might be a bit better than Horror Dragon though...

"Death Dragon might be a bit better than Horror Dragon though..."

Nope. It is even worse. "Death Dragon" sounds naive and stereotypical.

At least Horror Dragon is more original...in a very sucky way.

Fungus Dragon would be good name. I would be quite terrified of it. :scared:

I prefer aesthetics over originality - in this case, Death Dragon is stereotypical, yet better IMO than Horror Dragon. Surely Nival could try find something original AND that sounds good? :P Dracolich wouldn't be a bad idea. Common in D&D, but rarely used in fantasy games.

Well no, not really. Dracolich was used in Disciples II. About the only game I know that used it other than D&D games. And much better than Horror Dragon IMO. Heh, at least they didn't call it something retarded like "Scary" or "Freaky" Dragon.
