Scoop: Alternate Inferno Upgrades

Unread postby Angelspit » 28 May 2007, 15:35

The Infero alternate upgrades appear to have escaped from the freak show where they were held captive. You can see them by following these links:<ul>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... pg">Imp</a>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... ">Demon</a>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... ">Hound</a>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... uccubus</a>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... Charger</a>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... 6.jpg">Pit Fiend</a>

<li><a href="/http://resources.ubi.com/resources/67/6 ... il</a></ul>

My guess is that they will show up on the official portal later today, so we will learn their real names then. Thanks to evilp for the links.

The BBQ went wrong!

Ok Im scared, my first guess for inferno alternatives were red and black...this I see was becoming half-real they added choking toxic smog on them instead of burning flames. and sick fleshy colors.

Remember demons generaly can vary alot, its nice to see 3 set definitions on the term demon.

the fleshy unupgraded ones- normal menacies with are cruel in their soul just not enough that it shows.

the fiery ones from the fiery depths, born from fire and evil itself.

the smokey ones. from hellish ashlands they came, lusting for revenge and with a hatred that can be just as evil as the burning hell.

they who lost their fire once again rise up to choke the world in deadly, poisonus ashes.

Short said our new buddies here looks...horrifying indeed, in a good way, even the burning ones looks less evil to me, save me nightmares!

@Dave_Jame

You should expect that, upgrades are usualy biult on the same model like standard creature. It would be weird if they had made new models for all creatures.

They managed to corrupt one of few good models in the game - Succubus...

And again, I think this alternates (as well as the others) look much worse that originals.

@ BlackBeast

I agree... you can't expect to see Diablo like devil if the original one is so different then him...

Hope that imp becomes a shooter and Devil could get some spells

Pit Fiend will definitely lose meteor shower...and succubus will lose chain shoot...

Hate the hound ... could've been with one head but with some larger teeth and ass-kicking ability...

You are mistaken if you think that all my H5-related posts are about blaming nevertheless the matter. (though I wish here would be someone opposite to JJ, just to keep things balanced :) )

And as for orig. question the answer is "imposible", because its definitely other artist. But yes opinion would be the same, "new" creatures are worse. Satisfied ?

After seeing the previous alternatives I suppose that it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that these are the old models but with difffernt colours. Hope they've got abilities to make up for it (especially the hell hound upgrade). Mind you, the different pit fiend looks quite cool...

They used the EXACT same models but with a paint job!!

The only one I like is the devil - kind of evil looking

Actually, as I look at the pictures, they're starting to grow on me. Some of them.
