Tribes of the East Interview

Unread postby Arveragus » 18 May 2007, 16:35

The centaur has been part of the Heroes universe ever since Heroes I and was a creature of the Barbarian city in Heroes IV.

I would have preferred to see an Ogre (Mage) instead of the Orc Shaman, though, especially since they have been a part of the barbarian creatures ever since the first Heroes game.

Yeah, Inferno only has one, but at least theirs is a Level 4 and upgraded has a chain shot.
I'd hope they have none, just for change.

I just noticed that the goblin is described as "terribly dull"...!

on a first glance, i thought that meant they're extremely bored. I guess what it really meant was they're dumb :)

Yes. A better translation on my part would've been "dim-witted."

Perhaps this time they'll allow heroes to carry over from HV/HOF. If not then we'll have to hope that this time their skill selection is better.

And why aren't you picking on the Wyvern, i don't recall Tolkien having them

Tolkien had his 'fell beasts' which were like Wyverns. And besides, Tolkien did not have a monopoly on Orcs. If so, there would have been a lawsuit for sure.

Maybe this time the Academy campaign will have more than one Academy city in the whole campaign. :)

Wyverns/Pao-Kais are very nice to see. Hmm the Centaurs..well It was just as I forseen but..they got into the lineup!! Hurrai! :D Just that I wouldnt mind them being a 3rd lvl unit instead. At least the linup is not as monotomous as the fortress linup ;)

Oh I guess the cyclops will be an shooter since he also is a sieger...but will that mean there wont be catapults with the hero? Man seriously no more walls if the hero spezialise in war machines and have a pack of cyclops :scared:

Since I like racially based themes, I like this greenskin faction with some help from creatures in their surroundings.

And why do we need every single, stupid from Heroes x to return??
And saying that "<random creature> has been with HoMM since Heroes I or II" (and should therefore return) is irrelevant and completely uninteresting to me.

And I hope their hero can't use magic since their battlerage abilities will be enough.

I'm also very happy that the campaigns will be about the factions I like the most :-D
