New Maps: And Lots of Them

Unread postby Angelspit » 19 Apr 2007, 18:43

With the recent map entries we saw the return of familiar mapmakers, who have brought a huge contribution to the Heroes V mapmaking scene.

Heritage of Deleb by Zilonite and Signe is small multiplayer map that's very well rated by Celestial Heavens readers so far. No expansion is required. Playtesting has been performed by insatiable and The Teacher, so you know the job has been done well.

The Eastern Frontier (shown on the right), finkellll's eighth Heroes V map, is a large standard map that didn't stay on the front page long enough. It's the story of The Sylvan's defense against an advancement from the Inferno.

Extra Large and Clash by Ogo, who was featured in the previous New Maps post. Please note that Extra Large is, well, large... Both maps require the Hammers of Fate expansion.

<a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/search ... Beltway by Fosgen is a remake of a Heroes II map which was also the inspiration of a Heroes III adaptation.

The maptesting queue is currently empty, so send us a note if you need help finishing a map. Unfortunately, testers for Heroes of Might and Magic V are not easy to find.

That's because Heroes V is really boring. Hopefully, Tribes of the East will improve that, and I am fairly confident it will.

EDIT: Scratch that. Nival already messed it up.

*gasp* I loved Beltway! I haven't downloaded an H5 map yet, but that's going to be my first.

Extra Large is a pretty good map. I got it off of the map site a while back. I wonder if there have been any changes?
Before you criticize someone, first walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you'll be a mile away. And you'll have their shoes.
