Heroic Surprises in 2007

Unread postby Angelspit » 03 Jan 2007, 00:40

In a thread on the official forum, Fabrice Cambounet wishes you a happy new year and says there will be a few surprises in 2007 for the Heroes fans. "Some expected, some unexpected." I wonder if a surprise, by definition, can really be expected, but I will let you speculate on what's waiting for us in 2007.

Let's hope one of them starts with M and ends with X.

Fabrice's "surprises": there will be an expansion, it will be here in half a year give or take, and it will have a town and some new creatures.

Oooo, they will revise the Map Editor so that scripting is much like that of HMM III Map Editor.

Perhaps I should point out that H3 had no scripting support to begin with...

I hope its a revision in the Map Editor so that scripting is much like that of HMM IV Map Editor, but with the improvements we asked for while the game was in early development. MM-X would not be a surprise, it would be a shock.

"Some expected, some unexpected."

I'll wager a guess at patches, and bugs, respectively. :P

The biggest thing they could do for the map editor is to allow some basic things (such as message boxes) to be done without scripts (like the "event" objects in previous games) Taht alone would make a lot of map design easier.

It's definitely NOT that heroes online thingy. That's not connected with Ubisoft in any way, shape or form. From what I hear, they're actually kinda pissed about it as they've used Ubi copywritten artwork in it without permission. But as for what the actual surprises are, I'd say expansion #2, the next patch, an expansion for DM, and some new content for H5. Just a guess.
