WoG Lives On! Official 3.58f script update is released and n

Unread postby Fnord » 01 Dec 2006, 08:27

Yes, it's really true! WoG 3.58f was released over two years ago and now there's finally something new--the <a href=http://wog.celestialheavens.com/en/down ... />official 3.58f script update</a> is available for public download. For those readers unfamiliar with In the Wake of Gods (WoG for short), it's an unofficial, fan-made add-on for Heroes 3: The Shadow of Death (also works with H3: Complete).

This update to the 3.58f WoGify scripts fixes numerous bugs, enhances interfaces, and in some cases also adjusts balance and/or adds new functionality to certain scripts. Over 70% of the WoGify scripts have been updated in some way, shape or form, and WoGified maps are a lot more stable as a result. To install the update, simply download it to your Updates folder, run h3wupd.exe and follow the instructions. After updating, a full list of script changes and corrections can be found in "Data\s\Post 3.58f Changes and Bug Fixes.txt".

In addition, WoG now has a new <a href=http://wog.celestialheavens.com/>official site</a>, hosted by Celestial Heavens on their server. At present, just the update is ready, but in the coming weeks and months, look for WoG utilities, the main WoG files, additional script updates (as needed), new WoGify scripts, WoG maps, WoG mods, and much much more to keep you WoGGing for years to come!

The new WoG site can be found at http://wog.celestialheavens.com/ so be sure to bookmark this page for future visits. The script update is on the Download-->Optional WoG Files page.

The server is a bit slow today as we serve the WoG update, but things should be back to normal shortly.

It's a fairly small file (less than 1MB) and only 169 downloads so far--is it really slowing things down a lot?

If it is, will CH be able to handle downloads of the main WoG files which are much larger or will this be a problem?

I'm hoping to release some maps from the WoG Archives to the new Web Site. Pol and I will discuss this and hopefully we can get some new maps up for everyone to play.

Anyone know where you can bug report for WoG?

The gamble script for the tavern is buggy. You can get this "V401/0 Mz113001;" when you have won a lot and (I assume)no one wants to

play with you. You can also get a "blank"(no text/pics) sign with only an accept button.

Also, the Commander icon is invisible. You can click on it if you manage

to find it, you just can't see it. (located over the right hand artifact slots).

You need to know this if you want to give artifacts to your commander.

Here. What is it a lot? You do have last version of the script? Any report generated in the wogerror.log file? Be more verbose :-p
