Heretics at the Table!

Unread postby Kalah » 30 Nov 2006, 00:34

Help! They're taking over! The forum is full of heretics, who are turning from the one true belief in Might & Magic and instead worshipping... other games! Can you believe it!?

Since it was first created as an alternative venue for off-topic discussion (that is, discussion that is off topic as in having nothing to do with Heroes or M&M, but still on topic insofar as it still involves games), interest has skyrocketed and yielded three whole pages of various posts. 121 topics and 2748 replies is the score so far, showing that the decision to create a seperate subforum for this was warranted.

The Hall of the Heretics now contains discussion on games practiacally from A to Z; from Baldur's Gate to Civ 4 to UFO. This isn't all bad news, folks, there is now one more reason for joining the crowd and visiting the forum more frequently than once a year when your game is acting up; namely that you can discuss any game you wish to. "Why bother going anywhere else at all?" I ask. We have techies! We have trekkies! We have maps and Heroes and Might and Magic! The Round Table has it all!

I think this "news" speaks more to a general disappointment with recent heroes games than anything else.

yea, i mean, why now with 121 topics, or 2748 replies? maybe wait for a more rounded number (150, 200 / 3000)?

We're comparing the entire universe of games against one Might and Magic subforum? I don't think that a problem for the Round Table. I've seen several forums have subforums for the 'Other Games' subforum. I don't think we need to do that eh?

The correct quote is, of course, "These are not the 'Dendroids' you are looking for."

Who cares... they're Naga Tanks... that should be enough for any red blooded male... and for some women too. :devious:

Looking at the topics within Hall of the Heretics, it seems like all of us HoMM players are rather educated, thus, meaning we like the more better games out there, then the usual run of the mill, come and go games. I am very guilty posting in this section, especially in the NWN topic.
