Hammers of Fate Trailer

Unread postby Angelspit » 03 Nov 2006, 02:23

There's a three minute trailer for the Hammers of Fate expansion on the official Might and Magic portal. Download it directly from here, or view a lower resolution version below:

A short cutscene introducing the protagonists of the campaigns is followed by a series of gameplay sequences. We can see various dwarven units in action, get a first glimpse at a Fortress town and visit the new and, allow me to say it, really cool snow environment. Heroes Of Might & Magic 5: Hammers Of Fate<img src="/http://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?t=ce ... i really hope they add footprints to the snow environment before it out (or has it gone gold yet?. printless snow is like the battlefield when you turn off the shadows- its just unrealistic...

The character animations are a bit better during the cutscene; the dwarves look more alive than Isabel or Agrael. However, weren't we supposed to hear something where there was that huge explosion? A new music track would also have been appreciated, as the main menu theme is getting old.

Looks interesting. And I also welcome the appearance of snow :)
It will be a valuable asset in mapcrafting.

A few negative comments here, I think the new faction looks magnificent and the snow really adds something to the game.

Here's my bit of negativity..... the dragon looks like it's constipated when it's walking ! Also reminds me a little of Godzilla, not a dragon.

Still, only a couple more weeks to wait :)

Did...did that dwarves lips just move 8| Also,it starts with a nice remark about isabel  The dragon is pure crap, but its breath is excelent, and leaves a nice burned trace.Another teleporting unit.Talk about creativity :disagree: And the dwarven accent, such a cliche...I have many mixed feelings here.

yeah i thought the breath attack seemed pretty cool, but didn't think a great deal of it's movement either .... or of the rest of the clip, but maybe I'm just in that kind of mood

Nice trailer, I liked the dwarven accent and their typical bragging. :) The battle sequence was too long though - I wish they showed more of the Fortress, snowy environment and new adventure objects. Can't wait for the game but right now my priority is Dark Messiah. ;)

P.S. Still no news about HoF in Ubi homepage.

So wait, the Fortress is just a big hole in the ground?! :|

The dragon does look retarded while moving.

And why are there all those troops dieing in the backround when the two brothers we're talking?

But the cutscenes do seem to have improved (as if they could get any worse).

Like they look any better while standing still.

And look they changed Flame Mage into Rune Patriarch, Stout Defender into Shieldguard, Axe Thrower into Skirmisher, Brute into Enforcer. I didn't see these changes mentioned anywhere...

Oh I loved it myself except for the looks of the fire dragon but loved his fire... I loved the snow and the dwarfs, especially the red-bearded dwarf.. Well this is changing my mind on getting the expansion, I was in some doubts before but now I will probably be one of the lame ones to be the first in line when my store gets it in! :)

I would have liked to see more of the town.

Looks like they didn`t continue the "rotate around a central column" idea, but went the other way around, this time...

Anyway, the town looked pretty empty at townlevel 12 - I hope it doesn`t stay that way when it`s at 20!
