Nival's Cranky Brainstorming

Unread postby Angelspit » 10 Aug 2006, 13:37

Gorby the Cat is back with a slightly different color but many ideas to improve Heroes V... Unfortunately, nobody listens to the cat. Of course, without those great ideas, Nival's creative director Alex Mishulin and his top-notch team are left wondering how to please hardcore fans like our dear Cranky...

As for the two previous Cranky strips, you'll find Angelspit at the writing and myself at the drawing. We hope you'll like it.

It means that the guy's brains are just a goblin and a cog. And his idea ends up being very stupid. And the coder is just lazy as hell....sound familiar ;)

The site doesn't like titles with quotation marks: it blocks the automatic creation of the forum thread. So yes, the first post was written by Marzhin.

Oh....hardest one so far to figure out. I thought the hammer and clothes of the goblin meant something to. Overanalyzed -_-

If there had been an extra square with cranky going something like "no boss here, time to sleep a little" then it would be clearer. Oh well. Hopes it better next time ^^

Cute. I liked this one. :O)

And that's a gremlin. It's a knock on the Repair ability change to the Grem's in the last patch.

By the way, traditionnally "gremlins" are not supposed to "repair" things, but rather make things not work. And this guy has a Gremlin is his brain. Think about it.

A little DVD commentary: The guy on the right, "the Russian Elvis", is based on Alexander Mishulin, who was featured in previous Crankies. I don't know him, but he's been a great source of inspiration for all the Nival strips. The guy on the left was featured in another strip, the one where Steve Fawkner and Cranky were trying to escape from the Nival office.
