Maybe we'll see a cyclical change for HOMM6. I'm sure that the WOW players will eventually tire of not being able to control their groups.

There's nothing stoping producers to put out a finished product for PC's. And you can always buy it after the Complete version comes out.

A bugged console game is screwed. And there are genres that won't work on consoles unless watered down.

The only disadvantage of a PC is that most fighting games aren't released on it because of stupid console marketing strategies.

Once again, they're buring their (presumably less than impressive) profit results under a good headline revenue figure... "though the company's profit for the quarter was not disclosed". Not necessarily good news, 'cause it's net revenue/profit which counts.

Nice job Ubi, I wonder how much more profit they would have made if H5 was actually a complete and less buggy game. HoMM V UNDYING!

So they have earned a bit of gold on H5, not bad but should they use the money on fixing H5 to its final glory I would be surprised. A nice name for the expansion would be "H5 All fixed, Nothing missing", if the patches until the expansions ships wont better the game :devious:

My thought is the heroes fans trusted Nival/Ubi's word and jumped in to buy the game based on the advertisements, thinking they were getting a solid smooth game with an editor that they waited 3 yrs. for, so naturally UBI's sales were good for this game. Now that the fans seen they got an unfinished game with tons of bugs, patches with bugs, no editor, etc, it will be interesting to see if fans will jump in and buy any expansions that quick so there is a good possibility sales for an expansion may lag..

A famous, excellent tactical FPS selling 40% more than the latest sequel of the most wellknown TBS franschise....You know what this means right? Game Over!

350.000 units is too little! I excepted around 800.000 or something like that....or is that too high for games that aren't smashhits like WoW or Diablo?

I thought half a million were normal salesfigures :/

And those that preordered or bought the game without listening to fans must feel a little dumb now. Hehe, suckers :p

For a HOMM game, I think it's a good result. At least judging by the different level of hype around HOMM games and mainstream titles like Half-Life 2, World of Warcraft etc.

"You know what this means right? Game Over!"

I agree :( . Unfortunately it seems that the new generation of gamers are a bunch of retards, who are impressed mostly by good graphics and quick action. IMO the TB games' time is slowly passing away :( .

If some of you play civ4 too, the situation there is the same - the community is mostly of oldschool players and little fresh blood.

I wonder how many ppl here are below 18 years old. I doubt there are a lot of them.
