Heroes V Off the Sales Chart

Unread postby Angelspit » 11 Jul 2006, 20:17

It had to happen eventually: Heroes of Might and Magic V is nowhere to be found in the Top 10 PC Game sales charts for the week of June 25-July 1. It had been there since its release on May 16, even reaching the third place on May 21. More recently, the game was pushed down by two net entries, Titan Quest (#3) and NFL Head Coach (#10). Games such as Guild Wars Factions (#7) and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (#8) are still selling well after several months, just like the various The Sims 2 expansions. Worlds of Warcraft is once again in the top spot.

You can view the top 10 at <a href="/http://www.gamespot.com/news/6153804.ht ... ameSpot</a>.

Sims expansions.... :disagree:

Oh well, it probably did well enough for an expansion. God knows it needs one.

The perfect time for a Map Editor would have been the 16th of May...

The perfect time would have been just before it went off the charts... it probably won't get back on now. On the other hand, it did very well for a TBS, and maybe other developers will have noticed and we might get some new blood in?

And jump right off a cliff.

Why do people like to do the same thing over and over just so they can dress up their character in shiny armour? Confuses the heck out of me.

Heroes V Off the Sales Chart

As I said, off the charts and bye bye bye.

I can't understand how WoW can STILL sell that much! It has been 1st place since it debuted for christs sake! I would exspect a smashhit to be 1st for a month and then go down the charts and be gone in 2-3 months. But NO! It refuses do die....One explanation is that WoW sold out in the beginning so everybody couldn't get their game immedietly and so the charts are still topped.

What would be more informative is the actual number of copies sold. WoW would still be in the lead as it has always been higher in the charts than Heroes.

The charts show weekly sales I belive.

And i heard that when Blizzard temp bans people from the US in Diablo 2 those guys just go and buy another copy, so they don't have to wait. Maybe it's the same in WoW. And there prob still are people getting into it after quiting other MMORPGs. Hype sells.

Stefan.Urlus: If you're hoping for more Heroes games then it's better to look at other TBS games coming.
