Server Downtime

Unread postby Angelspit » 25 Jun 2006, 03:46

Celestial Heavens was down for a little while on Saturday because the unofficial guide ended up eating more bandwith than we expected. A few download pages have been made unavailable for a few days. I learned my lesson the hard way and will be more careful next month. My apologies for the inconvenience.

If you would like to take a look at the original page visit this link:

I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

We should make the downloads available through P2P, like eMule

to save bandwiht.

Torrents may be faster for users, but they take a LOT of server resourses, and again, thre might be a downtime :tired:

The only bandwith I know of is a rubber band about one-quarter of an inch wide, which I got on my birthday from my wife:)

Just glad everything is OK

D/l with torrents takes your bandwidth, not CH's. The actual torrent is small enough to not take anywhere near as much bw to d/l from wherever you get them from.

A torrent is usually 4-40kb so it won't take up any b/w

@ThunderTitan

With resourses I meant not Bandwith, but CPU, RAM load

Would these problems have anything to do with why the Skill Wheel no longer loads?
