AC Interview Translation

Unread postby Angelspit » 24 Jun 2006, 13:18

sfidanza of Age of Heroes posted a good translation of the Fabrice Cambounet interview that Archangel Castle published earlier this week. While the most important points have been already revealed, it's good to read the whole thing in context. You will find the translation here.

Interesting interview, I think part of the US frustration was the lack of a consistent release world-wide. The fact we were excluded from the Heroes Complete release and the 'Limited Release' was accurate in the limited and not special. Overall I think he was correct in being encouraged, a number one in the US was never in the cards, sorry too many of my fellow countrymen/women like mindless run and gun games (too many are too mentally lazy to play anything where you have to think). ;|

I was happy to hear the Ubisoft will continue to improve as time goes by. Strategy may be to much for some people to but I like it and have always liked Heroes (I've played them all). I also hope we get some more single player maps.

Nice to hear FC recognizes the community and the importance of the fans' involvement. :)

It's not what is said, it's what is done that counts. They always say this sort of thing.

But what's with all the ^^'s ? Is it supposed to mean anything?

Sure, but if he had said "I really don't approve of people making changes to our game and I wish they'd stop doing it" (which would have been really stupid), I would have been worried. At least it seems he likes the fans' involvement, an attitude that has emitted from Ubi ever since the beta.

Indeed, that's why they almost always say what fans want to hear ;)

Now lets see them follow up on it.
