Well I suppose it is nice that they are still using the same names as in the previous games. I for one am glad to see any sign of continuity with the series.

But does "Haven" really make sense here? In Heroes IV, the Knight/Castle fraction was called that way because of the background story (the escape to Axeoth from the dying world of Enroth). If Nival really wants to stick to the classical town names, they should call it "Castle" instead.

well...if you remember, at original web-page is written "rebirth" of the game, so - it don't mean, that there will be the same things like HoMMIV

P.S. actually, I like he title "Haven"...it's definitely better then Knight (well...the Castle is good, but there/here need to be changes)...

I think it's more logical, since you get castles in every town when upgrading forts...

Where is the source to the names? Did you get a mail from Nival or what?

Well, the knight's town was called "Castle" in Heroes III, and I think it's more appropriate than "Haven" which means as much as shelter or harbour.

Humans? Doesn't sound like a reasonable name for me since not only humans belong to this fraction but creatures like angels and griffins as well.

Is the quotation all the official commentary? I could not find anything else, apart from the usual drivel on their Forum.

I have to agree with tetsumonkai. I haven't seen the word Haven used anywhere. It's usually being referred to as the Human town and frankly that stupid considering they have Griffins and Angels. Neither are human.

Did you guys see the page I linked just before the quote? I didn't put the quote in quotes with a link just before it for no reason! Like I said, it was *official* commentary on the new screenshots, from here:

My bad. I didn't click that second link in the original post. I saw screenshots and couldn't care less about commentary after that. ;)

I wonder if they are going to use a Warcraft approach. Humans, Orcs, Dark Elves, etc. - Humans, Demons, Undead, etc. That would change the game a bit, and It might lose some of it's Heroes originality. As for the town names, I don't really know, but I think the name's from III were the best. Town names should be...well... "town" names. They shouldn't reflect the creatures inside it too much.
