It's the graphics card, that's worrying, why would a turn based system need that much power. I can understand DX9 compatibility, but those requirements imply a lot of concern for visuals, let's hope there is equal concern for content.

On the Round Table Thread Summarized by Ethric, Fabrice says system requirements will be low.

Well, it would be time for me to get a new computer in 2006, my old one is 866Mhz, 16mB video, 128 Ram. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't run H5 even if low requirements were instigated. So I'm not too dissapointed, with those requirements, just gives me something to work for when I get the new system

Yikes, I make that... just. Hope its not true, there's no way the reqs should be that high for a TBS. Sure, have top end graphics in the game, but haven't they ever heard of scaling?

I seriously hope that it's a joke too... That's really high requirements, and if they're the minimum, maybe you'll have to get a 2.8Ghz CPU, 1Gb RAM and so on. I sure hope i can afford that...

It has to be joke...It's true that I'm running H4 on PII 338, 192MB RAM, 16MB video, but I would not like such a huge jump for minimum requirements.

a low-entry dx9 board is not that much expensive (45$us) and for the cpu you can grab a sis board and a sempron 2500+ for about 100$us

DDR RAM is about 50$ each 512M

45+100+50 = 195$ for the upgrade so whats the problem ?

It's just the need to buy new computer equipment every one year and a half, equipment that will eventually end up in a garbage can, that bothers me.

$200 plus ~$60 for the game itself plus frustration factor of upgrades...just for a computer game? That's a problem. I hope it's a joke as well.
