Create a Town Contest Falls Flat

Fans on the <a href="/http://forums.ubi.com/groupee/forums/a/ ... ">official forums</a> are talking about the results of the Create a Town contest that were found deep inside the Nival Interactive Russian forums. These results are disappointing to say the least. The winning entry, made of halflings, minotaurs and vampires, has that shake-and-bake recipe feel. The other entries are on par with some of the worst creature proposals we've been making fun of in the past. The contest was originally a joint effort between Nival and a gaming publication, for the Russian market. Age of Heroes extended the contest to all fans by offering to translate into Russian the best English entries. But so far it seems that only Russian fans made the top 3 of the contest... with halflings, minotaurs and vampires.

We can only share the pain of the fans who spent hours working on their town line-up and hope that Nival was just too busy finishing the game itself.

That's sooo sad... I remember there was a link somewhere around here to a goblin town proposal by Friend_of_Gunnar at Heroes Community. That really would have deserved first place!

As for those "Solaris", "Glacier" and "Elistion"... At least the Worst Creatures at the Round Table were funny... those 'winners' are so bad they're scary!

I´m glad they used time to finish the game itself, but STILL... Using already existing IN-GAME units!?!? To be honest, that sounds a bit cheating to me, but mayby there´s different behaviour codes in Russia or something..?

I still hope the worst of these town proposals gets ignored and Nival use their remaining good ideas if they have any that is.

Snow-White Eagle could be a dragon god for the dwarven town consisting only of dwarves.Grumpy could be a basher,teach would be caster,sneazy would be shooter.Im not sure what the rest four would be though
