I don't see why not but some actions maybe more difficult. It's been awhile since I playtested the alpha so I can't think of an example off hand.

Steam downloading as we speak. Hopefully, by the time I get home from work, I'll be able to tell if my low-end video card can run the game . . . :-D

Oh, it has a professional score on Metacritic already. 72 % feels about right, I'd say.

The most promising reviews I read stated that they couldn't figure out why they were having fun. That's the feel I'm looking for.

Are the character stats rolled, or preset?

What is "DLC" with the deluxe addition?

@Variol: you basically have a pool of points you can spent in your attributes at character creation. Pretty much like in MM6-9.

Have downloaded the game but not started it yet. Sadly the boxed edition does not appear to be available in NA. :S

No, thanks to some kind of legal issues (Ubisoft branches etc.) it won't be.

I do have one which I'm willing to trade for a proper review of the game, though.

Thanks,
I assume you can "lower" some of the starting stats as well and use those points on other attributes?

..and I assume that you can start with any combo of 4 characters? Can I also start with less that 4?

AND, is there a demo?

That's a good question ... There's no "demo version" as such since the game was opened for early access (you could play the unfinished version), but I will send a message to the devs and ask if some kind of demo can be made available.

My initial impressions are of delight. What's more, the game runs reasonably well at 1600x900 on a $50 graphics card.

Edit: And I just got wiped. On the second quest. I'm going to be having fun with this one. Mostly because they didn't take the MM6-8 path of simply having 15,000,000 enemies in an area. That and because the game is designed to make turn-based a viable option rather than a death sentence. :)

In the eyes of UBI it seems so. ;)
