With Karmakeld's <a href="/https://www.celestialheavens.com/1330719513">last quiz</a> fresh in mind, let's have a new one. <img src="/images/smiles/smile9.gif">

The question is: how can this occur? How can the dark champions go into battle against nobody?

What, one can't take a little break from a nice formation ride through the brush without being accused of wanton aggression? That's the kind of typical prejudice we've come to expect from you living types.

It can happen when the oponent hero is almost dead and has no other creatures.

In this particular case there are probably three almost dead heroes, or maybe two dead and one almost dead.

In such case oponent never win

ethric: ROFL :-D

arkammler: no special programming such as invisble ability has been used. wouldn't know how to do so.

Drunken: how can an opponent be almost dead? Meaning low on HP? In such a case I would believe the hero to still be visible on the battlefield, which isn't the case here.

Almost dead means very low HP. I don't know exactly, how many HP is the limit. In such case the hero is invisible just like he is dead and can not attack. If he has not drunk potion of immortality, he wil die.

My guess is: Three heroes(in Equi, one is enough) with Health Rings got damaged in a combat and then unequiped the Rings and got zero or negative hp as a result. Then they ended their turn near 15 neutral Dark Champions, who attacked them on their turn. There was a 'battle lost' screen after this screenshot was taken. If the heroes drank any potions(I checked with Immortality, Cold and Mana) prior to the battle, those potions will still be in effect after they are resurrected. Might sometimes come in handy if you don't want to waste potions. Oh, and if you pick up those heroes and give them some Health Rings, you will end up with dead heroes with positive hp.

As is expected from an Equi freak like Maciek, that's pretty much spot on. ;)

You two guys should make a map.

@drunken and maciek: just ran a test of your suggestion and I found you to be right. I did my own test in Equi. which is why I didn't quite catch your point with three almost dead heroes, as I only used one hero.

The way I did it, was a (map-prop.) triggered combat follow up by a (hero) timed combat on the same day. The timed event triggeres a combat against an allready dead hero. But your suggestions I found to be quite interesting, even though I'm not sure how to use this for anything practical in the game except saving potions as maciek suggests.
