Looks like a money grabber of sorts. Same engine as the last 3. It's putting MM6-MM8 to shame.

I will get it without hesitation however.

it's fine it's using the same engine. In the days of MM6-8 engines technologies were increasing so fast that the engine became dated. What would be important is that gameplay is changed enough to make it feel like a new game.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a full sequel, but an expansion is better than nothing. I'm actually looking forward to this more than to the new HoMM. 8| Then again, that's not necessarily saying much, since for me the whole rehashed KB franchise trumps both HoMM V and VI in its current state, by a long shot.

^ So, so. ;) Can't measure the HV skills system, sorry. :)

On the other hand, I was wondering one of these days about some fan made maps for KB. After all they did released and a map editor with The Legend.

I like both games. King's Bounty captures more of the fun than the newer Heroes games, but it's single player and only one campaign (per expansion obviously). I will likely pick this up, even though I haven't yet finished all the ones out already (foolishly playing on hard difficulty first run through, the going is slow).

I did enjoy all of the King's Bounty campaigns thus far. My only complaint is that after the first playthrough, it gets really grindy. What I would really love to see is some of the amazing King' Bounty combat elements integrated into the HoMM series. Being able to move and take another action in one turn is so much FUN.
